The Author
Jimmy Franchetti
A Baltimore native who sat down at a keyboard one day — and never stopped.
"I sat down at the computer one day and before I knew it, I had a book."
A lifelong horror fan from Baltimore who never planned on becoming an author — until the words wouldn't stop.
I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, surrounded by horror movies and books. I loved the genre my whole life, but writing? That never crossed my mind. I had vivid ideas and thoughts constantly running through my head — I just never acted on them.
Then one day I sat down at the computer and started typing. Before I knew it, I had a book. It surprised me completely. I hadn't set out to write anything — it just happened.
I enjoyed it so much I kept going. Turns out all those years of vivid thoughts and untold stories had somewhere to go after all.
The Journey
How It Started
Raised in Baltimore, Maryland — a city with its own dark energy. Spent years watching horror films and reading everything in the genre, never imagining he'd one day add to it.
Vivid ideas and stories had always lived in his head. One day he sat down at the computer, started typing, and didn't stop until he had a book. It surprised him as much as anyone.
His debut horror novel — born from a lifetime of imagination finally given a place to go. The experience of finishing it only made him want to write more.
The Baby Who Smiled In The Dark followed — a true story that proved the scariest things don't always come from fiction. More books are on the way.
The Work
The story doesn't end here.
More books are coming. More truths that refuse to stay buried.
